Dr Who Tom Baker:The Best?

So for many people the most popular Dr who began his residency of the tardis in late 1974. I remember it well as I was only ten year’s old at the time and was struck by the different way he played the role as well as his different dress style.
When I was a child Tom bakers Dr who was completely original in the way it approached the series, with his humor and dress Tom Baker brought freshness to the franchise that has been mimicked by many other subsequent doctors.
For the seven years that Tom Baker Dr who the emphasis shifted from a horror aspect to episodes to a more funny and subtle humor this was mainly brought about by Toms use of humor and the excellent scripts by Douglas Adams who later found fame with the HitchHiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Also in 1974 we witnessed a new friend for Tom bakers Dr who, K9 a robotic dog with a killer laser located in its nose of all places!!
As people marveled at this new wonderful new Dr who in 1974 very few people knew that the look that Dr who Tom Baker revealed was in fact influenced by French artist Toulouse Lautrec and the fact the now famous scarf was so long was only down to the fact the lady who made the scarf, thought she had to use all the wool up.
Tom Bakers Dr who bowed out as dr who by tumbling from a radio telescope trying to stop the master but his style of doctor has lived on in the fact that many other Dr who’s have used him as a useful template.
Dr who has brought much pleasure to many people to learn of more about dr who toys and dr who
